2D laser cutting system features two-pallet changer for processing productivity
Florence, Kentucky, October 25, 2011 – Among the 30 new machining systems featured at T3 – Tomorrow's Technology Today, a Discover Mazak 2011 event, was an OPTIPLEX 3015 2D laser cutting system from Mazak Optonics.
Built with performance, reliability and efficiency in mind, the new Mazak Optonics OPTIPLEX 3015 is a 2D laser cutting system with a flexible two-pallet changer that provides high throughput, AO/5 automated setup technologies and rugged construction.
By combining integrated intelligent automation and superior cutting speeds, this job shop laser accurately processes material thicknesses from the thinnest of steel to 1" mild steel. Other advantages include a new user-friendly PreView II touch screen control and new 4,000-watt type 10 resonator that lowers operating costs.
At T3, attendees toured Mazak's manufacturing floor and experienced three Mazak Optonics OPTIPLEX 3015 machines in a single flexible modular automation system. The complete turnkey laser system increases Mazak's machine tool component fabrication productivity and is part of a recent investment in expanding manufacturing capability at the Kentucky plant.
