Preci Ingenieria facility will offer support to Mazak customers
Florence, Kentucky, January 12, 2010 – Mazak Corporation has announced that its Mexican distributor, Preci Ingenieria, opened a sales and support office in Queretaro, Mexico. The two companies will work together to ensure that customers receive maximum benefit from the new facility.
With headquarters in Mexico City, Preci Ingenieria has been a Mazak distributor since 2002. The new Preci office in Queretaro represents an expansion to better serve the area’s manufacturing community, which has experienced significant growth. Mazak customers in this region will now have even quicker access to sales personnel, applications engineers and technical support. The facility also provides a venue for a range of classes and seminars that provide training in programming, processes and machine operation. Visitors will also be able to witness parts cutting demos on a variety of Mazak machines.
“Central Mexico has seen substantial growth in its manufacturing sector over the past several years,” says Sergio Cortes, International Sales Manager for Mazak Corporation. “This new applications center will provide a valuable resource to companies attempting to maximize the return on their equipment and streamline their processes.”
Mazak has long been committed to the Mexican market, establishing its first office in Mexico City in 1981, which later moved to Monterrey. In December 2001, a 13,000 square foot building was completed to serve as the new home for Mazak’s Mexico headquarters and its Technology Center. This Mazak Technology Center in Monterrey provides technical, sales and service support for Mazak distributors and customers for the entirety of Mexico.
The Queretaro applications center features a 1,940 sq. ft. show room and houses an additional 540 sq. ft. of office space. An open house will be held later in the year to help familiarize local manufacturers with the services provided through the facility.
