As one of Mazak’s eight strategically located Regional Headquarters and Technology Centers in North America, the Mazak Northeast Technology Center in Windsor Locks, Connecticut, serves the manufacturing industries of New England, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Eastern New York and Eastern Pennsylvania.
The facility – like all of Mazak’s regional Technology Centers – connects area manufacturers to our technical resources that include product, system development and application engineers as well as expert service technicians. Through the facility, Mazak customers also gain access to our readily available Mazak Value Inspired Partners (VIP) for technical insight into tool and tool presetters, workpiece measuring devices, workholding, material handling, automation, CAD/CAM software and more.
Strategic proximity of the North East Technology Center to the region’s aerospace and medical manufacturing industry gives us keen insight into the needs of those manufacturers. With this knowledge, we are able to provide manufacturing processes and product innovations tailored specifically to their needs. Two examples include the small footprint, high-speed and accurate 5- axis VERTICAL CENTER NEXUS COMPACT Vertical Machining Center and the new versatile Vertical Center Universal (VCU) 400 Vertical Machining Center – in 3-axis, 3-axis with built-in pallet changer and 5-axis configurations. We developed both these machine models in direct response to demands from medical and aerospace manufacturers.
We also host numerous manufacturing events at the Technology Center, including Discover More With Mazak-Northeast and regional National Tooling and Machining Association meetings. Local manufactures and NTMA chapters utilize this space for close collaboration with regional industry experts, global manufacturing leaders and fellow association members. The facility further benefits visitors with live demonstrations of innovative machine tools, technical seminars, presentations and more. 
This year’s Discover More With Mazak-Northeast event highlighted all the Technology Center has to offer with regional manufactures experiencing the full scope of Mazak’s continuously evolving technology. The event featured several of the most advanced manufacturing systems available today, from the unveiling of our new VARIAXIS i-700, VARIAXIS i-800 and VERTICAL CENTER UNIVERSAL 400 to real-world medical implant machining demonstrations on our VERTICAL CENTER NEXUS COMPACT and aerospace hard-metal cutting demonstrations on our HORIZONTAL CENTER NEXUS 6800 HM (Hard Metal Package).
